The Great British Book Shop at The London Book Fair

The chief event for us at the book fair was the proper launch of the Great British Bookshop.  It is an ambitious new initiative that aims to bring the publisher much closer to the reader in terms of the supply chain through printing titles on-demand.  Its watchwords are fast turnaround and unimpeachable quality.  It has some simple but clearly defined goals:

  • To create new and lucrative sales channels for publishers
  • To promote the sales of print books and e-books in the same place
  • To create a loyal book-buying, book-loving readership
  • To ensure that everyone gets a fair price.
